A tall, elegant Hellenistic terracotta statue of a fashionable lady. Depicted standing on a circular plinth, with her weight on the right leg wearing a long chiton with deep vertical folds. Her head is held slightly out with an engaging visage. These finely moulded figures, often highly decorated, rose in popularity during the 4th and 3rd centuries B.C. Common themes include fashionable women, gods and goddesses, heroic athletes, and bacchanalian merriment.
