A finely modeled Hellenistic terracotta statue of a fashionable lady. She is elegant in her proportions, wearing a long chiton and wrapped in a heavy himation, her only other embellishment are a pair of earrings. These finely moulded figures, often highly decorated, rose in popularity during the 4th and 3rd centuries B.C. Common themes include fashionable women, gods and goddesses, heroic athletes, and bacchanalian merriment.
