Barakat Seoul cordially invites you to our first 2018 ancient art exhibition: “Between Eternity and History.”

Opening: Tuesday 6th March 2018, from 6.00 – 8.00 pm

Fayez Barakat is a distinguished and world-renowned collector, whose passion for beautiful and eclectically wise choices have made him one of the most important collectors of ancient art in the world. Fayez also happens to be an equally passionate painter, having developed a unique aesthetic sense through a personal, intimate, communication with thousands of ancient artworks. This curated exhibition featuring a select grouping of Classical period antiquities and jewelry items will run simultaneously with Fayez’s painting show, “Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder.” Featuring a number of spectacular jewelry pieces alongside small but superbly carved Roman marble sculptures and copious amounts of Roman glass with Greek Pottery, this showcase presents an eclectic and arresting display… one which immerses the viewer in a bygone world, and captivates the senses through endless varieties of form, texture, color, and substance. From sparkling diamonds to effervescent ancient glass, and carefully crafted marble to rich painted terracotta this exhibition showcases the dynamic contrast and harmony inherent in the classical aesthetic.

Both exhibitions will continue until the 15th of April.
