This zoomorphic vessel that closely resembles a bat, stands erect in a beautiful red-orange tone, which sets off the symmetry of the earthenware vessel. Both the arms and legs are delicate, requiring the need of a third support to balance the body of the vessel. The face of the animal has been placed on the neck of the vessel, allowing the proportions to be balanced. The eyes stare out directly, while the mouth is slightly ajar, showing the sharp fangs of the animal. As a whole, the artist has attempted and succeeded in creating a spectacular vessel that can evoke a range of emotions for the viewer of today, as well as those in the past.
