The body of this vessel is an elegantly formed floreros shape, a name given locally because of its similarity to a flower vase. The main body is supported by three hollow conical legs, which contain rattles. The most striking element in the formation of this vessel, are the birds modeled at the point where the legs join the body. The fantastical beak-bird gods are shown carrying beasts; they were believed to be associated with a fertility cult, through carrying human seeds in their beaks. This piece is consequently not only one of aesthetic beauty, but evokes the mystic beliefs of the ancients.
