Roman glassblowers were skilled at creating glass objects which show the symmetry and care given to such fragile objects as simple as this flask, which stands 7.5 cm from base to rim. Glass vessels such as this flask were rather common throughout the ancient Roman empire and time has attractively added an opalescence to the object, mostly due to salts seeping out from the glass. Olive green in color, free blown spherical body, with a tall cylindrical neck, the collar rim folded down, up and out, with a slightly indented base. – (BB.1605)
