Pair of large Sèvres porcelain lidded French vases of the Napoleon III period. On the principal side, oblong cartouches with courtship scenes among woodland, on the secondary sides cartouches with scenes of countryside. All four cartouches are enclosed within friezes of gilt foliage on cobalt blue background . They rest on a pedestal of gilded bronze. Late 19th century. – (CB.75)
