The obverse of this splendid vessel depicts a winged crowned female standing to the left of the central half column. She grasps a tambourine in her outstretched right hand and a phiale in her left hand which is held in an act of gesture towards the naked male figure. The male, who leans back in a relaxed pose with his legs crossed, reaches out with his right hand to take the phiale. He wears a fillet in his hair and a chlamys is draped beneath his left arm. A meander motif encircles the band above the base and a laurel motif runs around the neck. The reverse is a plain black slip with a continuation of the vertical line motif that encircles the rim.
